Do you agree on giving ultimatums in a relationship? (ex: the pet or me)

Only in extreme situations. Like if someone is struggling with something and need professional help (say with addiction maybe) then a “get help or I can’t do this anymore” may be helpful. But idk a pet? That sort of seems like something to compromise on and work through. Ultimatums seem unhealthy, typically. And if done often, it’s manipulation and wrong.

Definitely not over a pet.  But I had to do this with my fiancé about six months ago over mental health treatment.  Hospitalization or we can’t be together.  Luckily he knew it was best for him and the baby that he got treatment.

I told my husband he's got too in 26 to propose (after being together for 8 years and living together for 7). Love him. But if he wasn't going to commit I want going to waste more time. 
So to me it depends. I would never do it for little things.

It does depend on how the situation is affecting the relationship. If it’s an addiction to something, if it’s someone getting in between your relationship (jealous ex, overbearing parents, family dynamics, etc) or whatever it may be. 
Yes, there could be an ultimatum with your pets if your partner is highly allergic. It would make it impossible to live together in that case. In our case, I have absolutely no allergies to anything other than pollen, but my husband is highly allergic to everything, especially animals. Thankfully, I don’t want any pets ever besides rabbits, which luckily is the only animal that does not affect him. So I didn’t have to choose. If I did have to, I wouldn’t be with him today.

"Have sex with me or I leave" was also another favorite of his. What an ass 🤦

Yes sometimes. I’ve done it. More than once. When my husband and I got married we both had a different vision and there were somethings I didn’t want that he did. I didn’t want to live in the city and I wanted more than 1 child. So I said I will not marry you unless. I’ve done it again recently too 🤷🏻‍♀️. And my husband has to me. There are just something I want out of life...

Lol I give my husband ultimatums all the time....its never “this or me” but usually its like.....If you do not leave the house this instance and get my pregnant fat ass a fucking double bacon cheeseburger PLAIN with tator tots and a small onion ring from Pauls (this amazing steak burger place) you will never experience this bomb ass pussy again.!!!!!! And I get my burger and tots and onion rings and still dont have to sex because then I bloat and it’s uncomfortable 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Its a win win for me. But its never serious though so dont be coming for me.

Just before me and my boyfriend started dating he asked out another girl and it was kind of like a choice between us that he had but then he picked me and never went out with this other girl but they stayed friends and one time we had this big fight and he told me that he should have picked her. So I obviously that really really hurt me and I said he needs to cut her off or I’m leaving. I thought that was pretty fair.
