I’m 19 weeks pregnant and my dog has been super clingy recently he likes to follow me around and lie on me more than usual? Tonight I was lying on the sofa watching a film and this happened! He never lies there 😂! If I have my legs curled up on the sofa he’ll try and curl up next to me as close as he can

yes, even though they might not know WHY but they can SMELL your hormones and the change in them. my dog has been on her game with “alert barking” and is more protective over me since i became pregnant and leaving her at home is like her being a tiny puppy all over again. separation anxiety for sure!

Yes, my in laws dog is literally obsessed with me and is sooooooo protective. If he notices my husband yelling at me he will come and bark at him lol

Absolutely, both my dogs (even the super independent one) became incredibly clingy after I hit 10 weeks or so. I'm still shocked my husky wants to sleep in the bed with me constantly when he normally prefers the cold kitchen floor.
