NIPT test gender

Hi,

I would like to know from those of you that have done the NIPT blood test: do you have to ask beforehand to be informed about the gender of the baby in the results or do they usually tell you with the results if you want to know the gender? I had this done 6 years ago but at the time I didn’t know that I could find out the gender and that was never brought up. I am going to the Massachusetts General Hospital. Thank you.
