Father of my child: who was only around (visiting one a week and calling baby) for the first half of my pregnancy (now he doesn't answer my texts and calls only 5% of the time and I have to beg him too), says he's going to be there for the kid which still only means coming by once or twice a week for a couple hours, and wants me to text him when the baby is coming.

Would you let him name the first name of the baby and give baby his last name?

I am getting him on child support right away.

Update: We had a name in mind when we were on more friendly terms, but that name was 100% him and 0% me. Now everytime we talk he ends up cussing me out and hangs up on me. Even if the conversation just involves the baby.

I have given him lists of names and he hates all of them. Sadly there is no compromising with him...

I believe in my heart hat he will be a good dad but I haven't seen any proof yet.

We will never get married or be together. He has someone else.

Am I taking something away from my child if they don't have his last name?
