HSG X-ray question?!?!

Question

Today I went in to do my HSG to check to see if my tubes were open. The dye only went through my left tube. BUT the dr said that due to cramping I could of pinched the other one off and that its most likely fine. Has anyone ever heard anything like this? I mean how would they tell if they were damaged?

Did you take ibuprofen before hand? When I had my first one done both of my tubes closed off from it. Second I was told to take ibuprofen and they both remained open

When i had mine done dr said my left was blocked so I moved on to fertility Dr for laproscopy to unblock it and he said the same thing that maybe it wasnt enough time for the dye to go through and sure enough during surgery both tubes were open and looked great but i have mild endo

Yeah same thing here only the opposite tube. Still don’t know whether the tube is or isn’t blocked but I’ve moved on to IVF so it doesn’t really matter.

I had this done and one of my tubes didn’t show either and the doctor said that sometimes you have spasms that are random that would not allow the fluid to go through. I did another test (saline sonogram) to make sure my uterus was in good shape too/as a follow up. I had two miscarriages so we ended up doing IVF with PGS testing and the tube being “blocked” was actually a good thing because it made our insurance cover the cost! I guess your tube may or may not be blocked though, I am not sure what they would do to check in on that a second time. But no, it is not necessarily blocked!
