What’s your birth preference?

My birth preference would be at hospital with a lovely midwife but my actual will be an elective csection. 
I tried so hard with my first baby. I knew everything there was to know to encourage my labour to progress. My waters went at 41+6 and I was induced that evening at 2cm and almost effaced. After 12 hours on the hormone drip, upright labouring, I was still only 2cm and babies heart rate dipped dangerously low and I had a traumatic csection under general anaesthetic and was wiped out after a PPH and a major uterine infection so I just can’t risk it again this time

I have the most amazing midwife at my birthing center! I had her for my daughter and I wouldn’t trade her or my experience for anything! In fact, we’ve now moved about 2hrs from her and I’m still making the commute to see her because I haven’t heard wonderful things about the hospitals around my area; nothing like my experience with my midwife!

My birth preference is somewhere in water, in nature, assisted by a midwife and DH. Obviously a lot of arranging to do for that, and the pregnancy has to be healthy and smooth, but that is what I'm hoping and planning for!
