Procedures
Has anyone been able to avoid the amniocentesis? What testing did you have in it's place? My primary care doctor said that they will automatically perform one since I am over 35, but I have other friends who didn't have to have one, even though their child came back with possible down syndrome and they were also over 35. I would love to hear about some options because I would really like to avoid invasive procedures.
Edit: Thanks for all of your responses so far! I am aware of my right to refusal, I just wanted to know what options are available as a point of discussion for my next appointment. 😊
