How do you calculate due date?

Okay so I’m on baby #2. I know you usually calculate due date by LMP but I know the exact day we had sex and conceived because last month was crazy and we literally only did it once. So can I calculate my due date off December 9th or by my LMP on November 30th. My LMP on November 30th was 5 days late for some reason so it threw my cycle off. Anyway with my first pregnancy I had no clue the day I conceived but this time I do. So is it more accurate to use December 9th or November 30th.

The date you had sex isn’t necessarily the date you ovulated. Sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days, so you could have had sex on the 9th but not ovulated until the 14th and still gotten pregnant. Coincidentally the 14th is in fact 2 weeks after your period (which would be your ovulation date based on a perfectly regular cycle). 
So I would say stick with LMP unless your doctor says otherwise. Due dates are rarely exact anyways, a few days either direction won’t make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

You always go off your LMP unless you were tracking your ovulation and you know your exact ovulation date. For my last pregnancy I was using OPKs so I knew my ovulation date and when I calculated my due date with an online calculator it was the same based on both my ovulation and LMP. 
The day you had sex isn’t necessarily the same day you ovulated, so your best bet is to go off your LMP.
