What are your experiences and healing process with getting your wisdom teeth extracted i am sooo nervous but have to get it done since my mouth is to small and one is already popped through the gum line. I thought I was gonna be one of the lucky ones since this didn’t happen till now ( I am 23 ) but nope this little bugger popped on through. What was your experience after surgery? How long till pain went away? How long till you went back to normal activity? I read it can take months for the wounds to heal in the back of your mouth how long did it take for you?? We are TTC so I have to get it done ASAP before we conceive again, but I am having a freak out about it :(

I’ve had about 6 surgeries. Getting my wisdom teeth taken out was a breeze.

The recovery was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was very scared haha, probably because I was so young. I was in high school (senior year) when my first two wisdom teeth were extracted and I was a sophomore in college when my other two were extracted. I believe I went back to school in about four or five days following the first surgery. I had the other two removed while I was home on Christmas Break during my sophomore year of college so I was good by the time I had to go back for Spring semester. I remember having swelling both times. During the surgeries, I did not feel anything. I did feel pain after my meds had started to wear off, but it was not bad as I thought it would be. Of course, I had more meds. I slept a lot that day as well. I hope your surgery goes well. 👍🏾

Your mouth is definitely going to be sore. You need to be sure to listen to their instructions about what you can/can’t eat, not using a straw, etc for about a week after the procedure. My sister didn’t and ended up with very painful abscesses.

I got mine out at 17. I didn’t have any pain after mine. Maybe I got lucky. I was just really sleepy and didn’t feel like doing much. I think it took me like a week to get back to normal.

I was definitely sore, hurting and tired after the removal; tired from the anesthesia. 48 hours later the pain subsided, but if I talked or ate too much, my jaw and face would feel sore and ache. 
Follow all of the after-care instructions. Learn how to prevent/avoid a dry socket. Learn the symptoms of dry socket because they can be quite painful, and if you get one, you will need the dentist to fix it.

I didnt take any of the meds they prescribed, ate a bacon cheeseburger for dinner that night, and went back to work the next day. Feeling the stiches was the only weird thing, but it didnt bother me and they dissolved pretty quickly.

I was 16 when mine were removed (now I’m 31) so it’s been awhile lol. 
It was a little painful and I looked like a chipmunk. The stitches naturally come out, I believe it took like 1-2 weeks for hem to come out. 
You will be relieved more than anything once you do, bc you won’t have to worry about it anymore.

My experience was a nightmare, my face was swollen and numb for the first two days and then after that I was throwing up for three day, now, I'm not sure if it was due to the medication or the fact that I was unable to receive enough calories to keep up with my metabolism. Stiches didn't go away until a few weeks later, they were only annoying and they tasted bad.

I didn’t have any major issues. I just tested. Pain wasn’t Anything to remember.  I have a pretty high pain tolerance
