If you pass your due date and have had a previous c-section do they induced you if you’re going to try to have a vbac  or do they just schedule a c-section  or do they even let you pass you’re due date ? I am  38 weeks and 3 days no sign of labor I will ask my doctor at my app but it’s in till next Wednesday

I had a previous csection and my doctor told me they wouldn’t induce me, so I’d either have to go into labor on my own for the Vbac, and also have a csection scheduled in the event that labor doesn’t happen on its own.

I’m hoping for vbac as well. At the practice I go to they will let you go past due and induce. I opted for a repeat csection in the event that labor does not come naturally at 9 past due. I’m 38w 3d so hoping to go into labor soon.

I think it's up to the doctor. I would discuss it at your next appointment. My doctor would not induce. I had a scheduled c section a few days after my due date, but went into labor at 39 weeks and had a successful vbac! Good luck!

When I first planned to do vbac that doctor at that time said she’d let me go to 42 weeks before talking about induction.

My first delivery was a csection. My second I was aiming for a vbac. My dr would not induce with a vbac and unfortunately my son grew to 9 lb 15 ounces and ended up being a repeat c section.  Anything over like 8 pounds (for my dr) is a repeat cecesarion.

My sister’s doctor gave her until 41 weeks. At 41 weeks if she wasn’t in labor automatic c section. If she goes into labor by 41 weeks she gets her vbac. I’m sure every hospital/doctor has different guidelines they follow so you wools need to ask yours
