Touchy subject! Opinions welcome.

Where I go to the doctor, they have like 10 midwives. I’ve met probably 6 of them so far. The one I saw today, it was our 3rd- 4th time meeting.

Anyways. She recommended scrambling eggs in castor oil at or after 40 weeks. Like 1-2tbs with a few eggs. She said something about cooking it breaks it down so it doesn’t act as a laxative. She also said she DOES NOT recommend simply drinking it by itself or the brew.

I am meeting with a different midwife at each of my next two appointments and will ask them their opinion on it at that point too.

I’m not planning on doing it unless more than one midwife okays it and if I go to 41 weeks.

What are your thoughts/experiences/opinions on this???

She also said she’s heard/seen success stories of just rubbing it on the outside of the belly so I might try that since it’s not ingested.
