Babies Heartbeat?

Question

How far a long were you when you saw a heartbeat. I will be 5 weeks 5 days tomorrow and have our 1st nurse visit. Is it likely or unlikely I would be able to see a little flicker of a heartbeat?

Usually offices don’t see you until about 8 weeks because anything before that won’t let you see much on the ultrasound.
There’s not a lot to see that early & you could get paranoid that the baby isn’t going to grow. Which happened to a few friends of mine when they went early.

I was able to see my baby heartbeat at 6 week and 3 days. My doctor said it was to early to hear it but she zoomed in and we saw it flickering;).

Rare to see it that early but not impossible. My first we didn’t see until almost 7 weeks. With my second, we saw it at 5 weeks 4 days. We went in & the tech told us not to expect to see anything because we were so early. (Went so early because I saw a reproductive specialist due to secondary infertility) But to all our surprise including hers we saw the heartbeat flicker! Everyone & every pregnancy is different congrats

I read about this a lot online and most sites said if you’re lucky you can see the flickering of a heart on the screen during the ultrasound, but can’t HEAR the heart until around 9-11 weeks depending on the baby’s position.

If its a nurse visit, you are unlikely to even get an ultrasound unless the specifically told you they would do one. 
But it is possible to see the heartbeat at that stage with a vaginal ultrasound. I personally have never had an ultrasound that early though. 
We thought we thought my first was an ectopic so we had a scan at the hospital at 6w6d and we saw and heard the heartbeat. OB ordered an official scan at 10w with my first 2. New OB did a scan with our third at 8w
