Kidney stones??

I have been having a more frequent urge to pee, but not peeing much at a time. Also my pee has smelt kinda weird. I blew this off as something i ate. Well this morning i woke up to what felt like spasms..not sure if bladder, vaginal or where, they were just painful. Got up to pee, laid back down and couldn’t get comfortable due to the pain in my lower back and groin. It went on for ten mins until it finally went away..i was almost in tears it was so uncomfortable.

Took a UTI test strip — negative, no UTI

Took a pregnancy test last Sunday — negative

What could this be? A kidney stone, or something else??
