PROS AND CONS at working at a daycare?

Question

I want some input and insight on working in a daycare. And to specified I know each state has their requirements etc. Which I currently stay in Texas. Is it worth it? I've tooken care of kids, have my own, my sister's.

I loved working at a daycare. I was a toddler teacher, but I only had 5 kids in my class, so it was a really good size for me. 
The pay (at least where I worked at) sucked. It can absolutely be mentally exhausting. Some days the kids will all act out at the same time, they'll hit you, and refuse to listen. The teacher observations (where the director watches you work and picks at every little thing you do) are very stressful and will make you feel like a bad teacher depending on what he/she decides to pick on you for. 
For me, I absolutely love kids. All the bad stuff was worth it for me. Creating bonds with those kids and watching their eyes light up when they learned something made it all worth it. I cried when I quit, but if I could've paid my bills on $9/hr, I would've stayed. Unfortunately, I can't, so I had to move jobs. But, I wouldn't work at a daycare if you don't absolutely love children.

The pay is terrible, I was a lead teacher at a daycare for a little while but I left because I was only making $11 an hour.

I guess the pros are if your kids are daycare age you can take them to the same one so get to see them all day.

Nits and snot! I worked in a nursery for a year and decided I'd be better working with animals lol

Exhausting to chase kids all day then come home and keep chasing kids. I go to work to have a break and talk to adults lol
