Baby Shower Registry?

How many people actually got stuff off of their registry? We put a lot of stuff on there ranged from $5-$100 but my SO is so worried that people won’t be buying anything from our registry and that we will have to get everything 😕

I think 90-95% of gifts from our shower came from registry. But we also aren’t finding out gender so it makes it harder for people to just buy cute outfits instead

We had a huge variety of items on ours and our registry was set two months in advance for travel reasons. I cancelled it two weeks beforehand, and checked the registry to find literally nothing had/has been purchased. I was a little let down because I knew some of those people weren't going to be able to physically attend, but thought they would at least want to contribute. My husband wanted to chalk it up to the expense of the items, but we had a ton of things ranging from $5-$40. Looks like we're on our own, but it is what it is. We were prepared for the possibility.

Every single person with the exception of 2 people purchased things off our registry. 1 of the 2, knows me well and I loved the gifts she got. The other one.. I would’ve returned all of it if I had known where she purchased it from lol.

Typically a lot of the stuff you put on your registry is gonna be more or less the same thing you put on your registry maybe not just the same exact one you picked out ... which really when some one else is paying for it it’s not hat big of a deal. I’ve always said if there is something you want and you want it to be that exactly thing,color , pattern,brand buy it your self so you make sure you get what you want! But over all even if it’s not that exact thing on your list you’ll get pretty much the same thing !

We got most of our big ticket items from our registry! It was worth it imo (car seats x2$350 each, $200 crib, baby carrier $140, Bassinet $120, High chair 120, pack n play 120, uppa baby travel system $1200) we also got around 400 in target gift cards which was nice bc we purchased our dresser and monitor with it. We still have some little items we need to buy. But target will give u 15% off the remaining registry items towards the end and that also makes it worth it

We got all of the furniture on ours. Crib, swing, pac n play, each pretty expensive and only on there for us to remember the brand for us to buy later.

For my first baby shower I got just about everything I needed from my baby registry, but had a ton of guests. For my second child years later I got almost nothing from my baby registry and ended up with a ton of outfits that I didn't need and no bottles, burp cloths, diapers or anything that I needed. We ended up having to buy almost everything. We are now having a girl and having a shower in a week and I can see that only 4 items were purchased from the registry and we actually put in the invites that we don't need clothes. So... I would say unless you have a ridiculous about of guests plan on purchasing the things you need especially boring stuff.

I just hate waiting and not knowing what all we still have to buy 😕 I’m a planner and if it was up to me we woulda had the shower this month 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
