Does dry shampoo count as a 'wash day'm

I have been trying to wash my hair less because it is really dry but am wondering if using dry shampoo negates the purpose of prolonged periods between washing.

If your hair is really dry already you should really only be washing your hair once a week. Dry shampoo is good for in between washes if your hair starts to get oily because it absorbs those oils. It doesn't count as actually washing your hair though.

ur only drying or ‘washing’ excess oils versus using shampoo that dries out all ur hair so u should be safe
