Failed epidurals?

Question

Anyone have experience? In labor now. First one didn't cover my left side so they did another and now the right side. I'm only 6cm and been in labor for 36 hours.

My mom when she had my brother she had a bad experience with her epidural. They only numbed her right side of her body so by the time they realized it he was already on his way out so they couldn't numbed the other side.

Yeah same story with me. Worked only on one side. They had to put it back in for four times. Fourth time it worked as it should... good luck and hold on. 36hours sounds like a bitch! Try to relax as much as possible. 
Close your eyes and try ‘sleeping’ between contractions. It worked miracles for me!

Oh ya. I was in labour for about 20 hours before I got an epidural. I had some relief for about 20 minutes and then it stopped working entirely. I pressed the booster button for about an hour and then just gave up. I ended up having a c section and they gave me another epidural, plus a double dose of fentanyl before things actually numbed. Bad luck!

All mine have worked besides my second didn’t even last a full minute they didn’t even try to give more to see if would do anything. That was the worst labor for me literally

Yup and I only numbed  from my legs down . The tech knocked the first one out had to redo it.i had the push button thingy an it didn’t help any. I feel my second daughter whole delivery ..

They had to up the dose for me with my first as it stopped working on half of my body. My sister was the same.
