Is turmeric or 'golden milk' during pregnancy ok?

I'm 11w1d and all of a sudden had a huge craving for turmeric milk. I used to drink it on occasion before getting pregnant..but now reading up on it I'm unsure of the safety during pregnancy. Has anyone drank some here & there throughout their pregnancy and everything was ok?

Turmeric is very healthy and great for you! My MIL lives in India and everyone there drinks it throughout pregnancy without a problem. She sent me a bag of fresh turmeric when she heard I was pregnant. ☺️

Many doctors will tell you NOT to have turmeric because of its anti-inflammatory effects. It is not safe to take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory products or medications during pregnancy.

I’m an herbalist and am usually in support of a lot of herbs during pregnancy, but turmeric other than as a spice is a no- no. Sorry.

I take capsules sometimes, i have friends who took it their whole pregnancy and their babies completely healthy
