Genevieve for a girl?

The baby’s first name would be Genevieve but we could call her Genna or Genny for short. My husband and I find out what we’re having next month and are stuck on a girl’s name (we have one picked out for a boy).

My sisters name is Genevieve! When our cousin (who was born a few months after her) was little she couldn't say Genevieve, she called her gevenie, which over time got shortened to Gev, which a lot of people hear as Jeff, so now we call her Jeffrey when we want to annoy her. I will say though, it seems like a waste of such a beautiful name to shorten it to Genny. Just call her Jennifer if you're going to do that, imo.

We’re considering Guinevere for our baby. I was told that Winnie is a common nickname for that name haha. But I’d probably call Genevieve Vivi or Eve.
