Give up?

Question

OK, baby boy is up crying for the third time already, do I give up on the crib in his room for the night and go to the bassinet in our room? I am exhausted.

Can you move the bassinet to his room to make the transition more gradual? Same sleep surface in the new room?

I feel like when transitioning or trying new sleep habits it’ll always begin with a few really shit nights. I reckon (I am NO expert haha) that it’s either really bad for a shorter amount of time. Or a little bad for longer if you draw it out like start the night there and eventually put in bassinet- hope that makes sense. 
Does he have day naps in his room? X
