Formula Samples?

So I signed up for every formula sample available online. I plan on formula feeding from the get go. Anyways, it's been well over a month and haven't received any yet. Do they wait until closer to due date? I didn't sign up for any with my first, but after she almost starved to death, I'm not risking it again.

I got a ton from my doctors office somewhere between 34-38 weeks.

They send it like 2-3 weeks before your due date I want to say   I signed up for it for my first just Incase but didn’t end up needing it. My doctors office also gave me sample cans during one of my check ups. And my pediatricians office gave me some too at my daughters first check up 
I ended up with like 12 sample containers lol. Gave them to my cousin who decided to go the formula route
