How many of you check your IUD strings after every cycle?

I got my IUD placed just over a month ago. I was wondering if it’s highly recommended you check them or if it’s okay that I don’t. Any feedback is appreciated.

I don’t check mine because my cervix is high and I can’t reach them

It's most likely to move out of place in the first 6 months and after your periods. I check every month I've had it 7 months. Stopped getting periods after month 4.

Check check check! Better to take 3 min to check for them and notice early if something is off with it :) I know a lot of people don’t check, but I do for my peace of mind.

a lot of people don’t check so youre probably fine but i like to check because it gives me extra piece of mind and if you maneuver into different positions you can normally find the strings

I never check mine because I’ve never been able to feel them. The strings went up into my uterus right after insertion so I’ve never felt them, but my doc said the positioning was still good so there was nothing to worry about, it will just make removal a little more difficult.
