Is having a baby right now being selfish because of all the problems in the world?

Let me explain myself. I want to know if you ladies feel it’s irresponsible to have a baby nowadays because of overpopulation, climate change, or because the world is looking to fall in total chaos everywhere. 
If you do feel this way, feel free to explain to me why you feel like this and if you have considered having a baby or not having a baby, with this going on. 
On the other end, if you have a baby already or are still considering having a baby and thought about this, please let me know how you made your decision. 
Also, if you do not want babies, please let me know why too.

My husband and I are replacing ourselves 🤷‍♀️. We recycle, compost, have an organic garden in our backyard, I drive a hybrid, we rescue animals, limit our plastic use, I use refillable & cruelty free beauty products, we have solar, I have a bee garden and I’m a LEED certified architect and designer.
I do my best to minimize my carbon footprint. I will teach my children to do the same. I’m not the problem, talk to the farmers and big industry, my cloth diapered babies eating homemade organic veggies from a reusable glass jar with bamboo baby cutlery is not the issue 💁‍♀️💃♥️

I think this is an interesting topic but it will get deleted because it’s on anon 😩
I have thought about this a lot and in the grand scheme of things it is quite selfish. It’s selfish because we’re putting our want for a child above all the problems going on, such as the ones you have mentioned. But I also do not blame women for this, as it’s literally in our nature to want children, and that won’t change even if it’s bad for the world. And for all we know, these children could be the ones to turn around the earths current state.

I don’t believe the world is worse now than it was. If anything, it’s improving. For now at least. Choosing to have a child is innately selfish, I think. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. We as a species obviously have the desire to reproduce. And we need the species to continue to care for the existing members. So 🤷🏼‍♀️
