Pros and Cons?

Question

I just got my first postpartum period and I’m looking into a menstrual cup and I’m just wondering if you can tell me pros and cons. I typically have a heavier period which is why I don’t want to do just pads. And I’m just kind of over tampons.

Pros -
Cost savings ($25 every 2 years vs every month)
Cleaner (you’re in charge of cleaning, not some mass production factory in China)
No additional contribution to landfills and sewers
Shorter periods 
Normal ph levels
Less changing (2-4 times in a 24 hours depending on heaviness)
COMFORTABLE (I feel so much better down there than I did using disposable products, I sometimes forget I’m on my period)
Cons-
A learning curve (took me two cycles to really have an easy time with it)
Sometimes the first cup you try doesn’t work (I tried diva and blossom before having success with a small Lena cup)
Changing it in a public bathroom is difficult when you’re new to it but no problem once you’ve used it a while
-I would never ever go back to disposable products after 2.5 years with my Lena cup.  I do use a light reusable pad with mine on the very heavy days in case it leaks before I have a chance to change it.  I have to use a small cup though, despite being over 30 and having children, because everything down there is just very small for me.  If I could use a large, it would be able to hold more.
