Delayed onset lactation
I'm currently experiencing a delayed onset of my milk coming in. We're currently 6 days PP and I just now was able to pump 0.75 oz in one sitting (from both boobs combined). It's still transitioning from colostrum to real milk, and I haven't had any of the typical "feelings" associated with milk coming in such as heaviness, feeling full, feeling let down when I nurse.
My babe has had jaundice troubles because of this and is now being fed formula in addition to any small amount i can pump and give her. Last night was the first night I managed to get more than 10mL (from both boobs combined) in one pumping session so I thinking there is still hope because I'm showing an increase in production even if it is so very very slow.
Has anyone else went through this and had their milk fully come in and be able to up their production enough to end supplementing with formula? My dream was to bf until 2, but this has been so difficult on me so far! I'm trying to stay positive, but wow moming is hard ladies!
