Is it possible to have regular contractions and not be in labor?

My contractions are 3 minutes apart, very consistent but not super painful.

I’ve had consistent contractions lasting more than an hour multiple times. I’m only 37 weeks now and only dilated to a 1. It’s 100% possible. I was even in the hospital for unrelated issue and they came in bc of how many contractions were being picked up on the monitor (along with being consistent and lasting for a while) but I wasn’t in labor 🤷🏻‍♀️

Prodromal labor is a bitch. Usually unless they increase in intensity, it's not active labor. As always though, if you're concerned, talk to your provider or go in to be checked out.

Yes I was at the hospital for this 3 days before having my son and it continued until the day I delivered. It’s pre labor

Ugh I had thus happening last night. I ended up falling asleep and by morning things had pretty much stopped :( FTM so I don’t really know what it means either.

Unless its prodrominal labor then not very likely. I had mine 3 minutes apart and super painful but I wouldn't dilate for 20 hours, my labor lasted all together 21 hours. I dilated and had my baby that last hour. I think you are in the early stages of labor hun, impossible to know how long that will last but definitely worth getting g checked out and seeing what your cervix looks like right now.
