Laboring after water breaks?

Question

So my contractions have slowed down a bit, but I’m at a 4 and going to the hospital now. They plan to see how the contractions go, but if they are delayed they will most likely break my water. How do you walk and labor with your water broken?! Does someone follow you around with a mop? Do you wear a diaper?? I want to hold off on epidural as long as I can but with my water broken I don’t see how I can just walk around lol

When my water broke there was only a little bit, but the midwife pushed my stomach and it came gushing out. 6 minutes later my little boy was born

If they break your water it generally all comes out, may trickle a bit but you could wear a pad...that's what I did when they broke mine and then had me walk.

Here she is!! Compared to daddy’s hand!! 3 days over due and only 7.2 pounds. Born at 2:18. Pushed for 7 minutes and she hasn’t cried once lol! I can’t believe I finally have a girl!!

You just wear the mesh underwear with a pad.

I gush! My water broke with my first one and I had to sit on a towel in the car until we got to the hospital- put pj pants and sat in a wheel chair to get to L&D. There’s no way I wouldn’t have made a mess all they way down the hall. With my next two my water was broken when I was laying in the hospital bed. Again, gush, gush with every contraction. I was always glad to get the epidural and forget that I was gushing the whole time. I have no advice but I’m a gusher.
