Car seat installation?

Are your car seats already installed ? Or when are you planning on doing this ?

We installed the base (34 weeks) because my husband will be out of town this week and then at 36 weeks.  I don’t want my mother to have to figure it out lol.

Not until we are going to the hospital. If you're in an accident, even a minor fender bender, the seat needs replaced. With my daughter we were rear ended 4 days before I went into labour, glad we didn't have to worry about replacing the carseat at that point.

Yep! Car seat base is good to go in the car...But we are keeping the actual car seat in the house until go time.

We've installed ours early as we're driving 10hours out of town for a wedding and want to be prepared if he comes early. I've already got my first son's car seat installed and both are covered by insurance if they needing replacing.

We just installed the bases in my car and my husband’s car. I’m only 35 weeks, so it’s pretty early, but our local fire dept does car seat install check “open hours” on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, so tomorrow. Waiting till next month would be cutting it close to due date, and we’d like to have our work checked! 😊 After the check, we’ll keep the bases installed and keep the actual infant seat in the house until delivery day.

My husband drives Uber on the weekends, so we might do test run to see how two seats fit, but that's about it. I am excited that I might actually get to use the base this time 😂 when my first was born we had an old 2door civic, and there was no way to fit the seat on the base and still have 2 people in the front! The hateful, judgmental look that nurse gave us was the worst part of the whole trip 😂😒

So I decided to put my hospital bag in it and I'll just grab it on the way out the door but were doing a test check of it this week and then just keeping the bases in the car
