C section incision pain?

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and my incision still hurts but only on one side. This is my second c section and it’s seemed like this time around it’s been worse. The incision is very red too, but i don’t think it’s infected. Also when I press on that side there’s a bump kinda feels like a small ball, like an ovary.. idk I’m lost and I don’t have an apt for a couple more weeks

I had this same problem and ended up getting my incision reopen due to wound infection and skin infection. Only my right side was hurting and it even got to the point that I couldn’t even move.

If it’s that bad ER or call your doctor & explain what’s going on they’ll see you sooner

Does it smell or is it leaking any green stuff? If it’s really red, hurts, and is leaking green puss that smells bad it could be an infection. When you press on it around the edges it would likely make puss spill out even a little bit if it was infected.

The right side of my c-section incision was really irritated and red while the left was perfectly okay. I ended up going in for a 2nd look because it just didn’t seem like it was healing correctly. I would suggest calling your OB office and trying to get in earlier. In my opinion it is best for them to look at it before it starts bugging you more.
