Please help I’m freaking out

I got an iud put in probably about 3 months ago and I never went in to make sure it was in the right place. Well I have had really bad cramps lately and so I thought I might as well go get it checked. I went in and the doctor said she can’t find it anywhere and she dug around a little bit to. My bf never pulls out because I thought I was safe, I have been pregnant one other time but lost it and I kept joking with my friend that if I didn’t have the iud I would for sure think I was pregnant because I have had so many symptoms. The doctor felt around and when she did that she said well the kyleena doesn’t stop you from ovulating it just thickens the mucus and then said we need the first available ultrasound. Please someone tell me if this has happened to them or what you think is going on please!!
