I never thought I would even consider such a thing. However, my husband and I just had our anatomy ultrasound followed by a level 2 ultrasound with maternal fetal medicine. We found out our little girl’s heart is pushed to the right and very far up. Also, the heart is poorly formed. Her liver is through what portion of her diaphragm formed. There is also bowel protruding into the umbilical cord somehow. Basically, her chances of survival are non existent after birth. The thoughts of terminating this pregnancy are crossing my mind, and I was wondering if anyone else has taken this route. I am from a very conservative area, so the doctor did not mention abortion as an option. I am 18 weeks and 4 days.
