So how long after VR did you consider fertility treatments?

I know we’re only on our 6th month now ttc after vr but now thinking what if it just doesn’t happen after a year since surgery? How long to keep trying natural until we seek further help? How long after VR did you start fertility treatment and/or are you still trying and how long have you been trying? Starting to wonder if I should start preparing myself for the next steps if it doesn’t happen in the next 6 months.

We decided to not go for fertility treatment but after year we started to do in-depth testing and talking with a fertility doctor for our options.

At his 3 month SA, he had return of sperm.  Great count, crappy motility but we were optimistic. 
At 5 months post op he went to give a semen sample at the fertility clinic ‘just in case’. (We had to undergo fertility testing prior to a surgeon agreeing to do the reversal, so we were already technologically under the care of a fertility specialist). Count was drastically lower, vitality was 0. 
A 6 months, another SA was done after treating with antibiotics and steroids. 0 sperm. So that’s when we started the ivf process.

So how long after VR did you consider fertility treatments?
