The Pill

My mom has been telling me that she’s going to schedule me an appointment to go to a gynecologist and get started on birth control but she never does. I’m 18 now and go to SIUE, and have been told I can go on campus to get the pill but I want to start going to a gynecologist and becoming familiar with that whole process and make sure everything is healthy and safe down there but I don’t even know where to start, any advice or ideas on how to start?
