Ovulation Test and help

Hey ladies , I just wanted to see if anyone can give me some insight . Me and my boyfriend are trying to have a baby , this is a first for the both of us . I’ve never tried to become pregnant in the past nor have I ever been pregnant . A friend of mine told me to start keeping track of my periods to figure out ovulation (I have always kept track of my period for my own sanity and health purposes lol) and to maybe get a ovulation testing set . (I am also plus size/over weight , so I feel like I will not be able to become pregnant due to my size , so does a positive ovulation rest mean I am able to conceive?) So I bought the clear blue kit with the normal testing strips . According to this app my ovulation day is next week , next Thursday I believe . I just tested to see if the ovulation days it gave me were accurate and I have a very strong positive . Does this mean I will be able to conceive through next week . Main reason I am asking is because me and my boyfriend live in different cities about 45 minutes apart . So do I need to like go right now and do the do lol or could I go next week as planned .

So please any insight , advice or anything I am all ears 😊
