Rock in play nighttime

A lot of people are against babies sleeping in rock in plays but Our 6 week old has been sleeping in the rock play at night. We can’t get him to sleep anywhere else at night. He spits up sometimes and we’re afraid he’ll choke laying flat. He hates the new bassinet we bought him and his room is really far from our room and we don’t want to put him in there yet. Our first born also slept in the rock in play and just fine. Is anyone else having heir baby sleep in it?
