Eye surgery

Can you post please has anyone ever had to deal with a child who needs a squint corrective surgery? Long story my boy is 5 and I took him to get he’s eyes tested and they said he needed glasses and referred him to the hospital and we went for our appointment and I was told that they didn’t think he needed glasses coz he can see perfectly and then he was given another appointment for them to discuss what they will do next am so unsure what they are going to say? And am pretty bloody scared tbh any advice would be really nice to have and hear! And to be reassured by anyone’s story’s please thank you
