How soon can a doctor tell you the gender?? I’m 9 weeks 4 days today & my next appointment is on the 22nd! I’m hoping I won’t need to wait for April to find out. 😩

You can have NIPT bloodwork done starting in your 10th week. It will give the gender, along with information on your baby’s risk for certain chromosomal diseases. If you are under 35 and low risk, your insurance likely won’t cover it so you would have to pay out of pocket. Otherwise you would likely find out at your 20 week anatomy scan. I did the at-home sneak peek test for fun at 9 weeks, and I’m also electing to do an early gender ultrasound. Again, all those extras are out of pocket.
