Where does your newborn sleep?

I'm not sure if i should buy a bassinet or a crib? Should i buy both...?  I'm A FTM , I'm 24+5 today. I'm gonna start shopping in 2 weeks. i Need help!

This is the one I got. I can speak to any experience a w it yet, as I’m not due until June, but to me it makes sense. I also have a crib when I’m ready to get my room back.

Honestly keep your money girl I bought a crib and bassinet. Neither of my kids sleep in it at all. They will end up sleeping with you. Trust me save your money lol

I always did a play pen for a crib, and would look for a bassinet online used honestly. I wouldn’t let baby sleep with you the first month or so at least. Moms are so exhausted after a baby and dads are too and can end up sleeping heavier than usual and you don’t want anything bad to happen. Anyway I always loved the bassinet right next to the bed for about the first 2-3 months then it was the play pen next to my bed, made comfy of course, or in bed with me on rough nights lol. I have 6 kids and that’s how I have always done it. Then with a play pen you have a bed for them no matter where you go.

Its personal preference! Im a FTM also .I bought a pack n play/bassinet for next to my bed. And I plan to co sleep for a few months because I liked what read about it! We also bought a crib for his nursery for when we move him to his room

I have both and definitely worth it. My daughter sleeps in her halo every night, shes 5.5 months and naps in her crib. Will be moving to the crib for nights soon Too 😪

I was very fortunate that my parents bought both. I have a one bedroom right now and will be moving in a week or two. My daughters crib is still in the box because dont have much room so she sleeps in her bassinet for now. If you have the room just by a crib. I got a convertible one so I can size up when she grows. It's a little more but you save money in the long run in my opinion.

I got a pack n play because it would get used regardless. Whether my son would have slept in it (which he didn’t), or if he was gonna be put in it to play which he used it for that a ton. Only other thing I would get is a crib because my son now sleeps in it and has been since 13 months old. So it’s turned out to be worth it to us. Doesn’t have to be nice. Just get one for under $200.

Just got a crib. Saw no point in wasting money on a bassinet they would sleep in for a couple months at most . We also don’t keep baby in our room with us. So a bassinet was basically pointless anyway
We do have a pack and play if we need it. But it didn’t get much use with our daughter. Might more with this baby tho
