Should I stop working this Friday 1/18?

Question

I might get induced on 1/22 due to gestational diabetes, but if not 1/22 I will definitely be induced by 1/25.
I have a very stressful job, and I commute an hour each way to work. Should I make this Friday my last day, or should I suck it up and work on at least Monday, if not through Thursday?? 
Planning on taking 8 weeks leave total. Financially it makes a small difference, not huge. I can’t decide. What would you do?

I would.....mainly because of the commute.

I was planning to work up until I delivered but my Lamaze instructor encouraged me to stop at 39 weeks because she said I need to be well rested for labor.

Girl you sound like me, one hour commute + stressful job. TAKE THAT LEAVE! Sometimes in life you gotta put you first. It’s life or death in some situations.

It’s hard but I was in the same predicament and decided to leave work at 39 weeks rather than work up to my due date. I think you’ll really enjoy that time getting ready and hopefully relaxing a little.
