Failed my 3hr glucose test 😞

So today I got a call from my Obgyn and she told me I failed 2 portions of the test and referred me to a dietitian. Has anyone been through this? Do I have to do the insulin shots? I mean I had it with my 2nd child too and I wasnt given too much info and I was injecting insulin 3 times a day.. but that time I was young and didnt really give much attention to it but this pregnancy has been hard so i been getting more info thanks to this app. I dont remember if they did tests for the growth either. But I was induced at 38 wks and baby was 6.12lbs.
