Fluid in baby’s abdomen?

Has anyone had experience with this?? I went to one of those 4d ultrasound places today just to see her and they said I need to see my doctor because she has fluid in her abdomen. Made an appointment Wednesday at 2pm to check it out but kind of wondering if anyone has dealt with this before? I’m almost 18 weeks.

Yes, I did. I don't want to scare you but my pregnancy ended at 26 weeks due to extra fluid. It was called Fetal hydrops. My son had it bad though. Yhe fluid was in his stomach, lungs, and brain. I pray that yours is not an issue.

We had this with our son last pregnancy. It wasn’t hydrops and just in the abdomen and called ascities. We held off on an amino and went for an echo and did the genetic testing. The fluid resolved itself after only a week and was gone completely in two. The doctors told us it’s rare for it to just go away and not end up spreading to other parts of the body. We still have no idea what caused it but he’s a healthy one year old now! I hope the fluid disappears for you as well!
