Is becoming teen pregnant a bad thing?

Okay so I've been with this guy for awhile now and we've really talked about what we both want for a future.

I already have my career path in mind and I'm moving forward with it.

I know so many people that have kids that were either teen pregnant or right out of highschool pregnant. Is it such a bad thought when we both really want and are willing to put the effort in?

I feel crazy for even asking because I've been told it's not a smart decision and my family has certain morals. I also feel like this would give me even more of a purpose in life and will help me prosper to being the person I want to be. Advice?
