I’ve never heard of the 7-7 thing. I always feed my daughter when she’s hungry because the alternative is leaving her to cry because she’s hungry. As an adult, if I’m hungry, I eat. Why should it be any different because a baby can’t go get food for themselves 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was always and still am a feed on demand kinda mom. My daughter tells me she is hungry we are going to go cook something. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Feed on demand is kind of like, the entire reason we have breasts at all? Cows don't deny baby calf BlyooBylle milk because its 3:48 and she strictly feeds every 2 hours at the top of the hour, why should we?? Unless they have health concerns (real ones, not 'Ryayleengh gained a pound in a month so now she's obese' concerns) imo, no baby should be on any kind of feeding schedule that they do not naturally follow. One of my infants in my class eats every three hours. She's feed on demand, but if her morning bottle is at 6:17, nothing on this earth will make her eat again before 9:17 exactly. You put the bottle in her mouth and she literally laughs at you. Some babies are just like that (probably the ones that grow up to be CEOs, and go to the gym daily, lol!), but it shouldn't be forced.

I've seen a lot about sleep training in general and eliminating night feeds and as a FTM I was thinking this must be how it should be done. It stressed me out so much and gave me so much anxiety when I couldn't get my daughter to do this and I thought maybe I'm just a terrible parent. Other people's babies were doing it so why won't mine? I finally gave up trying to force this to happen and now I feel so much better. I've accepted the fact that she won't go to bed until much later and will still wake up for food. Eventually this won't be the case but for now, my baby is hungry at night and that's ok.

I feed on demand. She actually started to regulate herself by week 6 and would wake up 3x a night to feed now only 2x.

I only feed when he wants it. I don't wake and feed. And he's a lb higher then he needs to be.

I just fed on demand. If they were hungry I fed them. At night I’d put them on a titty and go back to sleep!
