nexplanon

so, i got the nexplanon implant in october. My i bled normally for about a month after insertion, and got my period as usual in the second month. My regular periods last about five days, but this month I started bleeding on the 1st of january and it is now the 18th. the flow would change light and heavy. I’m gonna call and make an appointment at my gyno, but is this normal?
