Umbilical Granulomas
So my son has a small umbilical Granuloma. At his two week appointment they did silver nitrate and nothing happened. We went in again a week later and they repeated the procedure and nothing happened.
It’s not red, doesn’t smell, doesn’t seem to be bothering him. I clean it every diaper change with a clean cotton swab, but I can still see the little Granuloma in there and it’s always leaking a tiny bit.
So now he’s 4 weeks on Friday and I have an appointment with a pediatric surgeon for it. What do they do? Does anyone know? Did this happen to anyone’s baby? I know it’s not super serious but I’m worried they will have to do surgery or something since that’s where they are sending me. 😩
