Toilet training failed. Please give advice.

I started potty training my 27 month old son last sat (this is day 5). I thought he was ready he has started telling me he was pooping and was pulling his nappy off occasionally too.

It hasn’t went as well as I thought it would. Today he done one pee on the potty and the rest have been accidents. We had a good day on sun but I think it’s been coincidence. I don’t know if he really does know yet when he’s about to start peeing. We were giving him a little sweet when he used the potty but that’s not encouraged him. I am due a baby in July so would have liked him potty trained by then. I think I am going to stop for a few months or so as I don’t want to set him back.
