Reflux frustration, need to vent

Caitlin

So Sarah was born 3 and a half weeks early (10/23), and the day after we brought her home she had a few incidents with vomiting and per her discharge instructions we took her to the er and the dr told us because she was preemie and her stomach was so small she was over eating and likely had reflux problems. Seemed reasonable. At her 2 day check up (which was when she was a week old) we mentioned the er visit. Dr agreed with smaller more frequent feedings. Typically I disregarded this since I started baby led feeding from the start rather than anything timed. When she cues, I feed. At her 2 week appointment, same dr as the first we talked about the reflux again, and again no real concern. We took her to her new pediatrician for a rash and mentioned it, but the rash was the main concern so I get it. For her 2 month appointment we saw another dr on the pediatrician's team and they didnt address any of the concerns we had at all. I mentioned that she projectile vomited to the nurse and she kept calling it spit up 🙄 and told me to go to this specific website because all moms have "little worries" like that. Ok, so what do I need to do to be taken seriously? Because this morning she woke up at 4:30 for her first feed and between 5 and 6 I could hear her choking on her acid reflux, once she seemed like she was going to vomit so I turned her on her side and she just coughed spit in my face. We went back to sleep just for her to vomit 2 very large amounts all over my bed completely soaked us both and left a spot on the mattress larger than a bowling ball. THAT IS NOT JUST SPIT UP. I just want someone to tell us something besides sit her up after a feed because I do, and I still hear her gulp down acid sometimes. She shouldn't have vomited so much 3 hours after a feed either. So idk I'm at a loss, because people think I just have nee mom worries. But I've been around kids my whole life, I have a large extended family, I have my anxieties yes, but it's getting to be too much of a hassle to explain it over and over again for no results from her healthcare professionals. #rantover 😂

Edit: I should add she mostly will vomit once a week or less, a couple of times it has been more often especially as a newborn.
