Induction due to GD and ICP

A little background for all those who have same complications... My pregnancy has been quite stressful. At the end of my 5th month i had preterm labour symptoms and my cervical length dropped suddenly so i was placed on progesterone pessaries and bed rest. So i spent 6th and most of 7th month in this condition. By 30th week i got diagnosed with Gestational diabetes and was placed on insulin. At 34th week I experienced itching on feet and palms and generally everywhere and was diagnosed with cholestasis of pregnancy. Took urso for it three times a day. So i had to be induced by 38 weeks due to cholestasis.

Birth story:

Induction started at 12 am by 1/4 of cytotec tablet that i took orally, took another 1/4 at 4 am and remaining 1/2 was taken at 8.50 am. At 10.05 1 cm dilated and 40% effaced. By 10.30 am gel was inserted. Meanwhile pitocin was also added to the induction at some point. By 1.25 pm i was 3cm dialated and effacement was very favourable. After trying gases and painkiller injection i opted for epidural. Best decision ever. By 2.26 pm i finally got epidural and to my surprise by

3.30 pm i was 7-8 cm dilated. With in next 15 min i dilated to 9 cm and by 4.15 pm 10 cm was complete. So i was taken to delivery room by 5.00 pm and my beautiful baby girl was born at 5.28 pm weighing 7.26 lb and 19.7 inches long. I got episiotomy and had to be stitched afterwards and by 6pm i was sent back to labour room for monitoring. By 9pm i was shifted to my seperate room where i stayed overnight and was discharged next morning by 12.30 pm with a healthy and perfect baby girl.

Thanks a lot for reading such a long post. Xoxo
