Is the excuse “it’s better than them cheating” a good enough reason for porn to be acceptable?

I see a lot of posts on the subject of porn and who is/isn’t ok with their SO watching it. I also see a lot of women comment their various reasonings for why they don’t care, a big one being “it’s better than them actually cheating”. Not a judgement! Just genuinely curious.

It’s a stupid excuse. You can like porn and cheat on your partner. Or not. Or you can not like porn and cheat on your partner. Or not. 
My husband and I enjoy porn occasionally both together and apart. We don’t cheat on each other. Those two statements have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

With cam girls what's the difference? It's like facetiming the girl down the street to get off. Which most people would 100% consider cheating. With regular porn it depends, is it every once in awhile or is constant where it's causing problems? Different strokes for different folks.
