Fears about second pregnancy
I am currently 12w4d with my second child. My son is 14 months old and was delivered by c-section. My previous doctor said she recommended not having two c-sections in a calendar year so as long as my kids were at least a year apart she wasn’t concerned.
I’ve since moved to another state and my current OB referred me to a specialist for a short interval pregnancy after c-section. She basically made it seem precautionary and said a VBAC could still be an option.
I visited the specialist and my anxiety has peaked. He recommends a c-section delivery again because of the short interval between pregnancies and noted that the placenta has attached close to my incision so there is a risk of it growing onto and even through my incision. I’m due back every 6 weeks to check on things but I’m so anxious! Has anyone had anything similar happen and not have any complications? It seems like my first doctor downplayed some of the risks and I’m worried for myself and my unborn child 😔 any encouragement is appreciated!
